Android Phone Buyback NZ

Device Repair Guy buys selected Android phones for refurbishment and resale. We are especially interested in popular models that are in demand in New Zealand, including Samsung Galaxy and Google Pixel phones.

Because Android phone values and repair costs vary widely, all Android buyback requests are reviewed manually. This helps us give a fair estimate based on the model, condition, storage size, repair cost and resale demand.

Android Phones We Are Most Interested In

Samsung Galaxy phones

We are mainly looking for recent and popular Samsung Galaxy models.

  • Galaxy S25, S24, S23, S22 and S21 series
  • Galaxy S Ultra models
  • Galaxy S FE models
  • Selected Galaxy A series models

Google Pixel phones

Google Pixel phones are considered if they are recent, repairable and suitable for resale.

  • Pixel 9 series
  • Pixel 8 and Pixel 8 Pro
  • Pixel 8a
  • Pixel 7, Pixel 7 Pro and Pixel 7a

Other Android brands

We may also consider selected models from other Android brands.

  • Oppo Reno and Find models
  • Xiaomi and Redmi Note models
  • OnePlus phones
  • Nothing Phone models
  • Motorola Edge models

Other models

If your phone is not listed in the form, choose “Other” and tell us the brand and model. We will let you know whether it is something we can consider.

What Condition Can My Android Phone Be In?

Working phones

We consider Android phones in excellent, good or heavily used condition.

Cracked or damaged phones

Phones with cracked screens, cracked backs, battery issues or other repairable faults may still be considered.

Faulty phones

Phones that do not power on, have liquid damage or have major faults may be reviewed, but not all faulty phones will be suitable for buyback.

Important: We do not buy phones that are reported lost or stolen. Phones must be fully paid off, legally owned by you, and have Google, Samsung or other account locks removed before sale.

How the Android Buyback Process Works

Submit your phone

Complete the form with your Android phone model, storage size, condition and any known faults.

We review it

Our team checks resale demand, likely repair cost and whether the phone is suitable for refurbishment.

We contact you

If we are interested in the phone, we will contact you with a manual buyback estimate.

Final check

The final offer depends on inspection, condition, account lock status and whether the details provided are accurate.

Phones We May Not Buy

We may decline very old phones, very low-value phones, unpopular models, phones with expensive or uneconomical faults, and phones with account locks that cannot be removed.

Foldable Android phones, such as Samsung Galaxy Z Fold and Galaxy Z Flip models, may require manual review due to the higher cost and risk of screen and hinge repairs.

    Android Buyback FAQ

Do you buy broken Android phones?

Yes, we may consider broken Android phones if the model is popular and the repair cost makes refurbishment worthwhile. Cracked screens, battery issues and some other faults may still be accepted.

Do you buy Samsung Galaxy phones?

Yes, Samsung Galaxy phones are one of the main Android ranges we consider, especially recent Galaxy S, Galaxy S Ultra, Galaxy FE and selected Galaxy A series models.

Do you buy Google Pixel phones?

Yes, we consider recent Google Pixel phones, including Pixel 7, Pixel 8 and Pixel 9 models, depending on condition and resale demand.

Can I sell a phone with a Google or Samsung account lock?

No. Account locks must be removed before we can buy the phone. We cannot buy devices that are locked to someone else’s Google, Samsung or manufacturer account.

Is the form an instant quote?

No. Android phone values and repair costs vary widely, so we review each Android buyback request manually before making an estimate.
