Garmin Rino 700 Repair

We repair not only phones and laptops but any electronic device, including navigation equipment, GPS, communication two way radios, chart plotters used in marine applications and autopilots. Often times, there would be one component failing in the whole system of navigation electronics on a boat so fixing that one failed component is much cheaper than replacing the whole sweet of related devices. For example, if your boat windspeed meter stops displaying data because the display unit failed, it is much better fixing that unit alone rather than replacing all the other components like wind meter, transducer, all the wiring etc.

In this case, we troubleshooted and repaired Garmin 700 unit. The Garmin Rino series is a versatile tool for those venturing off the beaten path, combining navigation and communication features into a single device.

This unit stopped charging. This model contains two standard 35E 18650 Li-ion batteries. The charging board is packed on the top of the batteries as shown in the photo. At first, we discovered that the batteries were completely flat, indicating either battery failure or charging board failure. In this case it turned out to be a charging board failure.
